The Objectives of the Regional Economy and Development Journal are:

Providing space for the dissemination of new scientific findings in the economic fields as well as the regional dimension of development, so that in this way, first of all, for its own part, the researchers are directed towards the regional issues that (in the geography of Iran, the provinces and cities of the country And in international geography, attention will be paid to development issues from various economic, social, political and cultural dimensions between countries) And secondly, fill the gap in this field with your own share. Because in the scientific circles of the country and especially in the universities, there is less attention paid to studies at the regional level, and more attention is paid to micro-issues or macro-issues. For this reason, this publication has defined its mission at the middle level of economic and development issues and hopes that in this way it has provided a suitable space for writers and researchers interested in the mentioned issues.

Also, this publication publishes economic scientific works in various dimensions of regional development for the use of researchers, policymakers, executive managers and other audiences with the aim of explaining theories, perspectives and models of regional development. And how to plan for a region (including several large cities in a region or several provinces or states) to achieve the relative superiority desired by the officials and politicians of that region at the national and global level and in the meantime, it also benefited from the balance in the progress and growth of that region in a homogeneous way. Paying attention of policy makers and planners at the national and regional level to the spatial and regional dimensions in macro and national planning and being aware that a partial view of the country's planning system may lead to high regional imbalances in its geography, especially in between the urban and rural areas.
